The Guernsey Hospitality Association’s People Awards—an evening full of pride, gratitude and celebration, shining a light on some of the exceptional individuals working across Guernsey’s hospitality industry. The event was a fantastic success, and we would like to extend our warmest congratulations to all of our thoroughly well-deserved winners.
The Rising Star Award (GR8) recognises individuals in the hospitality industry who have demonstrated exceptional potential, early career success, and a passion for growth. These individuals are in the early stages of their careers and have made significant contributions to their team or organisation, positioning themselves as future leaders in the industry.
The Unsung Hero Award (Guernsey Dairy) recognises individuals in the hospitality industry who work behind the scenes and demonstrate exceptional dedication, commitment, and a positive attitude, yet often go unnoticed. The award seeks to honour those who significantly contribute to their team, company, or the guest experience in meaningful and impactful ways.
The Chef of the Year Award (Cimandis) recognises a chef who has demonstrated exceptional culinary skills, creativity, leadership, and a profound impact on their team, guests, and the wider hospitality industry. This individual is at the forefront of culinary innovation and excellence, setting high standards in cuisine, kitchen management, and guest satisfaction.
The Front of House Star Award (Bean 14) recognises an individual in a front-of-house role who consistently delivers exceptional service, creates memorable guest experiences, and embodies the values of professionalism, hospitality, and dedication. This award honours those who excel in roles such as receptionists, hosts/hostesses, concierges, restaurant and bar assistants or any other front-facing position that plays a key role in guest interactions.
The Top Team Award (Close Finance) recognises a team which is delivering exceptional customer service, combining talents, and demonstrating by example a willingness to encourage teamwork. Also, the team will be achieving its objectives and goals set by the business owner/directors. This award will be presented to a business or venue, such as a hotel, bar, or restaurant, rather than a specific department within a business or venue.
The Special Recognition Award (voted by the Hospitality Association Board) recognises an individual for their hard work, creativity, commitment to excellence, and overall outstanding performance in their chosen field of work. Also taken into account could be an historical level of contribution to the industry as well.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to vote and to all who attended, helping to make the night so special. Your support and enthusiasm are what make this event truly meaningful, and it was wonderful to see so many people come together to celebrate the hard work, passion, and dedication that drive our industry forward.
We hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did, and we look forward to welcoming you all again next year for another unforgettable celebration!
