The GHA will be promoting the event on our social media outlets. There will be a launch event, date to be advised, with local media representatives attending.
Members will submit nominees via our website, which will be evaluated and winners selected by business associates. The Top Team Award shortlist will be decided and voted on by the public and the Chef of the Year Award by the UK Chefs Craft Guild.
All winners for each category will receive a trophy.
In addition, the winners for the following awards will all receive a voucher for an overnight stay for two at one of the islands premier hotels; including dinner and breakfast.
Chef of the Year, Front of House Star, Rising Star, and Unsung Hero.
The Top Team winners will receive a drinks voucher worth £250 to spend at a town cocktail bar (venue tbc).
The Rising Star Award (GR8 Recruitment) recognises individuals in the hospitality industry who have demonstrated exceptional potential, early career success, and a passion for growth. The Unsung Hero Award (Guernsey Dairy) recognises individuals in the hospitality industry who work behind the scenes and demonstrate exceptional dedication, commitment, and a positive attitude, yet often go unnoticed. The award seeks to honour those who significantly contribute to their team, company, or the guest experience in meaningful and impactful ways.
The Chef of the Year Award (Manor Farm Foods) recognises a chef who has demonstrated exceptional culinary skills, creativity, leadership, and a profound impact on their team, guests, and the wider hospitality industry. This individual is at the forefront of culinary innovation and excellence, setting high standards in cuisine, kitchen management, and guest satisfaction.
The Front of House Star Award (Bean 14) recognises an individual in a front-of-house role who consistently delivers exceptional service, creates memorable guest experiences, and embodies the values of professionalism, hospitality, and dedication. This award honours those who excel in roles such as receptionists, hosts/hostesses, concierges, restaurant and bar assistants or any other front-facing position that plays a key role in guest interactions.
The Top Team Award (Butterfield) recognises a team which is delivering exceptional customer service, combining talents, and demonstrating by example a willingness to encourage teamwork. Also, the team will be achieving its objectives and goals set by the business owner/directors. This award will be presented to a business or venue, such as a hotel, bar, or restaurant, rather than a specific department within a business or venue.
The Special Recognition Award (Close Finance) recognises an individual for their hard work, creativity, commitment to excellence, and overall outstanding performance in their chosen field of work. Also taken into account could be an historical level of contribution to the industry as well.
