JOE MOONEY

Joe is a former Deputy, and held the role of Tourism lead for the Economic Development Committee.

Born in county Kildare, Ireland. Growing up on a farm with a keen interest in the outdoors and pursued a career in construction. He has worked in various European countries before moving to Guernsey in 1988.
Since 1989 Joe has lived in St Peter Port raised four children and has run a successful business.

DAVID PIESING

Old Grammarian. Director of local finance industry businesses for over 30 years. Former chairman of Guernsey Cricket Board (now ex-officio board member). Commissioner at Guernsey Sports Commission.

David is a big supporter of developing event tourism as a key leg of Guernsey’s visitor economy.  Although he has a particular interest in sports tourism, David is convinced that the principle of generating year-round bednight revenue from hosting high quality, well-organised events also extends equally to the arts and music sectors. David feels strongly that event tourism is a perfect match for Guernsey’s tourism offering.

ANDREW COLEMAN

Andrew Coleman is a highly experienced hospitality professional with over 50 years in the industry. He trained as a chef at Guernsey College of Further Education and gained international experience working in London, Switzerland, and Australia.

In 1991, he became Managing Director and Partner of La Barbarie Hotel in St Martins, Guernsey, where he played a key role (alongside business partner Andrew Wright) in transforming the property from a modest two-star hotel with self-catering units into a highly regarded four-star, 38-bedroom establishment with AA Rosette dining-achieving strong ratings and recognition before its sale in 2025.

Andrew has been deeply involved in Guernsey’s hospitality sector, serving on the board of the previous Guernsey Hotel and Tourism Association (GHATA), chairing the Good Food Group, the Salon Culinaire Committee, and Taste Guernsey. Most recently, he was a founding board member of the Guernsey Hospitality Association, where he served as Treasurer.

Beyond hospitality, Andrew has dedicated eight years as a sitting tribunal member of the Child, Youth and Community Tribunal (CYCT) contributing to community welfare and justice.

His career reflects a lifelong passion for excellence in hospitality, leadership, and service to both industry and island community.
